Hi, Everyone!

Hope everyone is having a good day today. After a day that began with a blood draw early this morning--'cause I couldn't eat until afterwards and I wanted to beat the crowds--I came home and said a sad good-bye to our neighbors who are moving to Arizona permanently (they had been snowbirds up until now), fixed lunch, went to Physical Therapy, came home and cut my DH's (that's Dear Hubby in laziese), looked up some things on the Internet for DH, fixed dinner, and now I am X-austed.

For now, DH is watching TV, Little Spencer Love-Bug is lying beside my chair not quite snoring yet but will be soon, and I am finally sitting here trying once again to post a note and hopefully download (or is it upload?) some pictures of the horseshoes I have been decorating, which is the main-but-not-only reason for this blog.

So, keep your fingers crossed . . .

This is the first horseshoe I did. Sorry for the PflugArt Logo through it but I read somewhere that a woman had all of her photos stolen from her blog because she didn't have a watermark on them, so paranoid as I am, it will be on all my photos and pictures! Okay, now for my second horseshoe that I did for our neighbors' daughter's wedding (not the ones who moved to AZ) . . .

Yippee! I must not be as dumb as I look (and feel)! This third one I did for me (but I will sell it if anyone wants it). Except for the lopsided writing, I really like it, and I made the bead inside the concho so it lays nicer now. Horseshoe3 . . .

The first horseshoe I used an iron shoe and it really did a number on my hands, so I used light-weight aluminum "Eventer" shoes on the second and third ones. Much better! However, I will use iron ones if anyone prefers them, and I will use old, worn shoes if they are given to me. Will also do any size from a mini-horse to a giant draft horse shoe. Depending on the bling-bling and shoes, my prices will run from $40.00 to $60.00, subject to change as I become more involved in making them.

Let me know what you think of them!

Take care, Everyone, and have great evening and a better tomorrow!

Linda

  1. Don't know what the hey is going on with this blog site . . . so I guess I will just pretend like all is okay with it and enter another post here. Those of you who have seen my Facebook page know about my little 4-day hospital stay due to a cellulitis infection in my leg. At least it didn't turn into sepsis like it did a year and a half ago. That one was scare--y. Of course, waking up chilled and incoherent this time wasn't without it's degree of scariness. But, except for having a reaction to one of my meds which has given me an itchy rash, I am doing well. Had one nurse in particular who is a writer and we had an early morning conversation about writing, loved it!!! Was so impressed by the quality of care at Newport Hospital, sure glad they never shipped me off to Spokane! Well, gotta get supper for my DH so will see how this goes . . .
